Banksia Group

Emma, Shannyn and Amy

It has been fantastic to have all of the Banksia group back at kinder for Term 4. The children were back to their routine and continued their relationships with peers without missing a beat.

We have packed a lot into Term 4 with a range of incursion experiences. These include 'Dreamer Puppets', rabbit rearing, a beekeeper visit, museum visit and a 'Butterfly Adventures' lifecycle kit.

This term the children have also begun school transitions which mean a lot of coming and going from kindergarten. Transitions can be a very exciting and sometimes overwhelming experience for children so you may find over the transition period they need a little extra support.

We will be having a focus on outdoor play this term, and in summer this means a lot more water play. As the weather continues to get warmer, please remember to pack spare summer clothes in your child’s bag and ensure they have sunscreen on when they arrive at the kindergarten.

We will be finishing the year with in session celebrations for the children and a concert for the families. Please be mindful that the concert can be overwhelming for some children and if they choose not to participate there is no pressure. It will be a small performance running for approximately 15minutes.

Lastly fully vaccinated parents will be able to book in to come to the kinder for a stay and play during the Banksia session once we reach the 90% fully vaccination rate so if you would like to come into Banksia for a play, please email us at:
