A Volleyball Snapshot!

Kew High School entered 11 teams into the 2014 Australian Volleyball Schools Cup which was held in Melbourne in December last year. Congratulations to the Year 12 Boys team that finished the tournament undefeated and were crowned Australian Champions. This crown continued the successes this group experienced throughout their time at Kew High School. Other exceptional results included a Bronze for the under 15 Girls and the under 17 Girls lost a close final to finish a respectable fourth.

2015 kicked off with a bang with the Victorian Beach Volleyball Schools Cup. This tournament was played on South Melbourne beach with players getting to experience all elements of nature while trying to run and jump in the sand. The following teams took out the tournament winning a Gold medal: Year 9 Girls, Year 9 Boys and the Year 10 Girls. The Year 8 Boys, Year 9 boys and the Year 12 Girls all won a Silver Medal.

Finally, well done to Paige Riddington and Peter Couvalias who are the 2015 Kew High School Volleyball Captains. They are both natural leaders and positive role models.
