Recycling school uniforms

The student Wellbeing team will be holding a 'secondhand' uniform sale on Thursday 9th December. (Foundation 2022 transition day)

Do you have uniforms that you no longer need? You can donate them to new owners.

We will be collecting all donations on Friday 3rd December. Please bring all donations to the front steps of the school before or after school. Please ensure that all donations are clean and have had name tags removed. We will be selling them for a gold coin donation and all monies collected will continue to be used to support students and their families at our school. The student wellbeing team and wellbeing teacher will allocate these funds.

Families will also have an opportunity to donate uniforms on Thursday 15th December. This will give families who not be attending Newlands in 2022 a chance to donate unneeded uniforms. These will be sold during the first week of term 1 2022.

Reconciliation Plan (RAP)

It has been a year of change and adjustment for all of us. We began working towards the development of our RAP in 2020 and have continued to work on it this year.

At this stage we are not where we hoped to be but certainly have not stopped ensuring that at least some of our planned actions could be actioned.

In 2022, along with the assistance of our enthusiastic committee and KESSO worker, our aim will be to complete our RAP. The first actions we will be taking in 2022 will be CUST (Understanding and Safety Training) training for all staff and a community information session.
