WORKFORCE PLANNING FOR 2022

Each year during November schools undertakes a workforce planning process. This process involves estimating our enrolment numbers for the coming year and the number of staff that the enrolment budget will sustain.

At this time we anticipate a total enrolment of @ 180 students with 41 of these being new prep students. This is double our normal prep intake and is something we experience every 4-5 years or so. It is not something we can sustain year after year as our school's physical space does not permit us to operate any more than 8 classrooms.

We anticipate our elevated numbers may come down again in 2023 as our large prep numbers will be countered with a large grade 6 group leaving at the end of 2022. For the 2022 school year, the additional enrolments will require we employ an additional teacher. This week we completed a selection process to employ a graduate teacher on a 12-month contract. The successful applicant is Lauren Goss who will be joining us next year. We welcome Lauren to the teaching team and look forward to working with her in 2022.

Periodically we will shift teachers to different grade levels as this ensures our staff maintains a broad range of skills across all class levels. The following allocations have been finalized for 2022:
