Course Confirmation 

Process for confirming subject allocation in 2022

Last term we worked together (students, tutors & parents) on course investigation, planning and selection for 2022. The final stage of this process is a day know as Course Confirmation day. 

Course Confirmation dates this year are:

Thursday 25 November:

• Year 8 2021 (going into Year 9 2022)
• Year 9 2021 (going into Year 10 2022)

Friday 26 November:

• Year 10 2021 (going into Year 11 2022)
• Year 11 2021 (going into Year 12 2022)

This means there will be no Year 8 and 9 classes running on Thursday 25 November and no Year 10 classes running on Friday 26 November. These classes will be cancelled on Compass. Note: Year 11 classes are already finished by these dates.

On this day, students are given a time to have a short meeting with your tutor where together you:

• Celebrate achievements for 2021 and discuss actions to support confidence and success
• Receive your subject allocation for 2022
• Confirm the course selections and discuss next steps if any changes are requested
• Collect information for 2022 and process administrative actions for 2021 (Essential Student Learning Items, Library book returns etc)

Due to current DET Operation Guidelines, only students can attend the meeting onsite. Your child will meet with their tutor who will connect with a family member via a phone call at the time allocated. 

Next week, all families will be sent an email with detailed information about the day and their course confirmation appointment time.
