REMEMBRANCE DAY

As you can see our Library is well-equipped with meaningful picture books centred around Remembrance Day. Thankyou Miss Goodwin for the special display. 

THE DREADED "O" WORD - OVERDUES

The new look OVERDUE notice will come home tomorrow or next weekbefore your child's lesson.

Most notices will feature a cover image of the book which will assist your child in locating the missing item. If you are unable to locate the book and feel sure it has already been returned please send the notice back to school with your child or send me an email and I will address the issue.

CHESS CLUB

Chess Tournament begins next week and will run for 3 weeks. 

The draw will be out and displayed on the library noticeboard next Tuesday.

Students will be notified of their games.

THE WEEKS ARE FLYING BY

As the weeks fly by towards the end of term and the end of the school year, our minds turn to the obvious question: What to buy the children?

BOOK CLUB

Thank you for your orders. Book Club orders have been distributed.

As a result of all the Book Club orders this year many new books were purchased for the library, so thankyou again for your support.

LAST BOOKCLUB - 2022 - PARENTS ONLY

There will be one more Book Club this year, Issue 8. This issue order closes 2nd December.

Parents this will only be for you to order through the online LOOP portal. So if you are still needing a few last minute pressies please go online for a look. 

Orders will come to school.

CLASS LIBRARY TIMETABLE

Here is the library timetable for your child's weekly library lesson. 

Note: Students are not restricted to their class lesson to borrow / return.

            The St Nicholas School Library is OPEN 5 days a week.

Please ensure your child is prepared by reminding them to place their books and library bags in their school bag the night before. 

• MONDAY: Yr 3
• TUESDAY: Yr 2 and Yr 4
• WEDNESDAY: Kindergarten and Yr 5
• THURSDAY: Yr 1 and Yr 6

LIBRARY BAGS -  ALL students require a bag.

All students, K - 6 must have a library bag. This is listed as a requirement on the student equipment list each year.

LOTS and LOTS of NEW BOOKS to be borrowed with a LIBRARY BAG.

LIBRARY BAGS MATTER...  Not just some of the time but all of the time.

No food or drink on my books.

Food and drink are for the chooks.

Library bags keep ‘em clean.

Books are cool don’t treat ‘em mean.

Bring your bag every time.

Fill it up and get in line.

Have it scanned and scoot on out.

WORLD BOOK ONLINE - 

Ask your child about the bookmark which provides home access for World eBooks and Worldbook online.

If you have not logged on and had a browse around, sit down with your child and ask them about it. I'm sure all primary-aged students will be able to show you some of the features.
