A Message from  Father Manny

A Message for St. Joseph the Worker Primary School North Reservoir (9.12.2022)

As we come to the school’s end of year 2022, I greet you all: Maria, teachers, leaders, staff, parents, guardians and students, my thoughts of blessings and prayers are with you all. This year was different from the last two years: there were less restrictions, there were not any lockdowns and we had more freedom. There were also some concerns and challenges that made us take some responsibilities to look after each other and to be still aware of some good practices to avoid any transmission of the Corona-Virus.

We are very grateful to God and to each other for being able this year to celebrate in freedom with big attendance the sacraments of Reconciliation with the Grade 3s and the First Eucharist for the grade 4s, and the Confirmation with the Grade 6s. The big attendance in the church on these occasions of the celebrations of the sacraments was a witness of the great support given by family, relatives, friends and the community. Congratulations to all the students who received any of these sacraments, and best wishes and blessings to them and their families that they may continue believing in God’s giving grace in each sacrament and in our daily life.

With the celebrations of the sacraments, we acknowledge that every person is important and very precious to our God. As a community let us value everyone’s life and let us be grateful for one another and let us care for one another. As we have just celebrated the Grade 6s graduation I wish them well that they receive more joy and blessings in the future as they enter into the secondary school.  I Thank you all for the great work you do as a community. While this year seems to have been better than the last two years, let us remain living with hope. I look forward to gathering in the church next week for our end of year Mass.

My Thanks go to the whole school community: Maria, Leaders, Teachers and Staff, Students, School Advisory Council, Parents and Friends, and all Parents and families for all the caring for one another, for working together and for trying our best to make Jesus Real. I wish you all a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year and may the holidays be for you all an enjoyable time. May we look at the child Jesus, the God with us, who gives hope once again to every person on the face of the earth. “May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord let his face shine on you and be gracious to you! May the Lord uncover his face to you and bring you peace.” For ever and ever. Amen.

Manny Bonello.
