Newsletter - Term 4 - week 5 PE/Sport

This term all students have been focusing on striking skills which have been complimented by the cricket clinics which have been run by Cricket Victoria. If students are interested in more cricket outside of school, the Richmond Cricket club runs junior sessions at Citizens park during the summer.

The Yr 5/6 students will also be completing a Bike Education program over the next 5 weeks and will need to bring their bikes every Friday morning starting tomorrow. If students don’t have a bike, we do have a limited number to lend out to students. But it would be helpful if all students could bring a helmet if they have one please.

Dr Cranky’s Bike hospital will be running at 8.15am on Friday mornings for students to pump their tyres and check over their bikes before the lessons start.

District Athletics

Congratulations to the following students who competed at The Regional Athletics Championship at Meadowglen Athletics Track in Epping. The first day of events was interrupted by rain but all competitors managed to compete after a week's delay. Amelia had a great competition and came away with a Bronze medal which will hopefully spur her on to greater athletics success outside of school. Well done everyone.

FIT CLUB

Thursday 7.45-8.30am

Fit club is open to all students who want to get more activity into their week and come along and have some fun with their friends. Just come along before school on Thursday and join us in the playground. We will have students from St Kevin’s who are completing their community service to help us.
