P & F Newsletter

Hi St James Families,

What a great day our Parish Fete was on Saturday. Despite a day of four seasons in one with a little bit of rain in the middle it was a fun day for everyone and so great to have it back!

ST JOHN’S PARISH FETE THANKS

A very big thanks to all involved in making this such a great day including those on the fete committee to stall holders, volunteers on stalls and those who helped with set up and clean up. Thanks to all the St James Stall Coordinators: The DiPierdomenicos (BBQ), The Daltons (Bric a Brac), Natalie Ballinger (Cakes), Grade 6 Students (Colouring Competition), Kylie Brooks-Verberne and Lena Zappia (Face Painting), Aidan O’Riley (Plants), Daniela Migliorati (Science Stall), Emma Lovick and her mum, Barbara Harris (Pre- loved Clothes), Mel Baptista and Paola Weinberg (Sweets) and St James Staff (Mini Golf & Colouring Comp)). A lot of work goes in to running a stall, but I am sure all would agree it is a great feeling to be involved in helping contribute to a successful event for our community.

The biggest thanks go to Jen Harvey for all her hard work on the Fete Committee in bringing all of this together. Thank you once again Jen for your commitment and dedication to this event!

FETE RAFFLE RESULTS

A big thanks to all families who returned and sold their raffle books for the Fete Raffle.

A very big thanks to Claire Doherty for managing this raffle and keeping track of returns.

$3960 was raised from this raffle of which $1980 goes to the St James P&F.

Thank you!

P&F BREAK UP MEETING – Tuesday 29th November at 7:30pm

Help celebrate a year full of great events and success for the P&F and our community.

The purpose of this meeting is to not only briefly discuss and celebrate what has been achieved in this year but more importantly thank those who have helped along the way.

It is also a chance for us to get together and share our plans and your ideas and seek support for a successful year in 2023!

To date we have not had a great response to our call out for volunteers to be a part of the P&F or run an event in 2023, nor have we many attend meetings throughout the year. We need more ongoing help and involvement from the community for the P&F and the events we have grown to expect and enjoy to continue. As much as we would like to, we have many other commitments like everyone else and it is too much for a few volunteers to run this alone and take on extra roles as has been done so this year. Once again here is the link to sign up for roles/events next year: volunteersignup.org/ARBQF

and below is a document listing the roles and duties of each role:

PLEASE RSVP to the P&F email your attendance to our break up meeting by this Sunday 27th November.
