Principal's Report

Congratulations to all students and staff on the amazing effort and achievement that was demonstrated through this week's 'Learning Showcase'. It has been such a privilege to see these displays develop in the lead up to Tuesday, and to witness the pride students have taken in presenting their work. We all have so much to be proud of at Mount Beauty Primary School and this was certainly highlighted by the wonderful displays that were showcased in our classrooms. A big thank you also to the many parents/carers, grandparents and siblings who came along to support this event. It was wonderful to see so many of our families again!
Thank you also to everyone who donated money towards our collection of mentor texts. $480 was raised for this, which will make a great contribution to our library.
This week, we had our first visit from the Kinder students, as part of our 2023 Prep transition program. The students will visit again next week with their kinder teachers before our formal transition program commences on the 28th of November. All students will participate in a state wide transition day on Tuesday the 13th December.
A reminder that this Monday, the 21st November we will have a pupil free day to enable staff to undertake report writing. OSHC will be running on this day, to provide childcare for families who require this assistance. Bookings are essential and can be made online via the OSHC page, or by calling Kath on 0418399861.
On Monday 28th November, our annual swimming program will commence. Many thanks to Step for her organisation and to all the swim coaches for their support with providing this program. For more information, please refer to the Swimming page of this newsletter.

Our Congratulations to Neils on correctly guessing last week's music theme of 'Cars'. Another great dance party was held on Wednesday, with all our students joining in the the fun. There is no doubt that this has quickly become a highlight in the week thanks to the Music Master and her Music Mignons!

As this will be my last newsletter for the year,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our staff for their incredible dedication to our students over the year in school and OSHC. They all do an amazing job and we are so fortunate to have such a wonderful team!
I would also like to acknowledge our wonderful students and their achievements over the year. Thank you for your efforts in upholding our values and demonstrating this in your learning and support of each other. Thank you too, to our families and volunteers for your continued support over the year, which has been so greatly valued by us all.
