SWIMMING FOUNDATION - YEAR 4
We will start our swimming program for all Foundation to Year 4 students at the Aquatic and Leisure Centre in Week 6. The program starts on Monday 14 November (Week 6) and runs from Monday - Thursday for two weeks. Students will receive a 30-minute lesson (8 lessons in total). Lessons will conclude on Thursday 24 November (Week 7). A note with more information will be sent home next week.
PACER REBATE FOR YEAR 6 CAMP
Next week, students in Year 6 will be undertaking an education tour of the national capital. Students will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage and democracy.
The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion the Australian Government is contributing funding of $300 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program towards those costs. The rebate is paid directly to the school upon completion of the excursion.
TERM 4 OFFERINGS
Offerings this term will be going to Lutheran Care Alice Springs. Instead of money, we are asking for donations of non-perishable food items. These will be distributed by Lutheran Care to people in need. Non-perishable donations could include tinned vegetables, long-life milk, tea or coffee, pasta and cereal. Thank you for your ongoing support of Lutheran Care.
