What's Been Happening!

Foundation News 

In maths we have been learning how to share objects into equal groups.

 

Grade One News

   

 Last week the Grade 1 students had a woodwork incursion. The students learnt how to use equipment such as a hammer and a saw. They enjoyed using the saw to cut out a castle stencil as well as hammer and nails to join the base and the castle together. 

 

Grade 2 News

Today the Yr 2 children were lucky to have Millie Walker's mum Kirsten come and teach us all about forces. We used Fidget Spinners to do our experiment. She talked about how to measure force with newtons, friction and gravity. We had so much fun and were glad that she came and taught us about all different types of science.

Helen Dee and Miss Mustey visited Yr 2 during the week. They talked to us about ‘Spirit Filled People‘ and the qualities they possess.

Grade 3 News

This week, the Grade Threes enjoyed an engaging STEAM session with Mr Mooney, exploring Lego Spike education sets. These sets combine colourful LEGO building elements, easy to use hardware and intuitive coding. Our tech-savvy, young programmers familiarised themselves with the basics of coding lego machines and look forward to undertaking the next challenge sometime soon!
