Book Fair

A very large thank you to everyone who supported our Book Fair last week. Along with the fair, students were given some activities such as making shark hats. Thanks to your generosity our Library was able to acquire a good range of new books for student to enjoy.

Thanks!

National Simultaneous Story Time

On Wednesday 25th May students came together to hear the book called Family Tree by Josh Pyke.

We were lucky enough to able to view the reading complete with a lady doing Auslan signs of the story.

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. Now in its 22nd successful year, it is a colourful, vibrant, fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, using an Australian children's book that explores age-appropriate themes, and addresses key learning areas of the National Curriculum for Foundation to Year 6.

The book is available in our Library for students to read.

Working together

Our camera caught some Year 4/5/6 students giving the Foundation/ Year 1 students a hand with their work last week. Well done!
