Kindergarten News 

Last week our Blue, Yellow and Red groups had a waste management incursion with Aaron and Michelle who work for the City of Ballarat. Michelle and Aaron taught us about landfill and even showed us some photos of the Ballarat tip. They spoke about the different bins we have in Ballarat and then lead us through a categorising activity where children separated different items into the 3 different bins (green waste, recycling and general waste bin). At the end of their presentation Aaron took us outside to see his truck, he demonstrated how different elements of his truck worked he then showed us how the truck arms empty a general waste bin. The children were gifted with a small rubbish bin each for all their wonderful listening and learning.
