Education Week

Last Monday the students and staff celebrated ‘150 Years of Public Education’.

Thank you to all the families and community members who attended the assembly and parade, with a special mention to Karla and Michael Davey who kindly gave of their time to help us all learn more about Miners Rest Primary School in years gone by.

The students (and staff) all looked fabulous dressed in costumes throughout a variety of eras. Congratulations to all the wonderful parents who supported their children with costumes to make the occasion spectacular. Events such as these would not be possible without you.

A special mention to our senior students who led the games and activities session. Feedback from both students and staff was that they were all great fun and demonstrated strong leadership capabilities. The teachers of the future perhaps…I enjoyed watching students playing some of the games during lunch in their own time.

Thank you and well done to all involved. Please enjoy some snaps from the day.
