Library News
In the Library, we are really enjoying Term 2 and so are our students. It is very busy with many students enjoying their class-times and break-times in the Library. Whether it is reading for enjoyment or studying or playing games, puzzles, chess or socialising during the breaks, the Library is a hive of activity. As a reminder, our Virtual Library and online resources are available 24x7 from school or home. As well, the Library is open and staffed from 8:00am. On Monday, Thursday and Friday we close at 3:25p.m., while on Tuesdays and Wednesdays we host Study Club and are open until 5:00pm.
Introducing our new team member in 2022
We welcome Ms Amanda Burke to our Library team. Amanda has joined our team and many of you will know her from the Tamworth Regional Library. We are privileged to have Amanda with us and staff and students are already getting to know her and are benefitting from the great support and skills she is sharing with us.
Focus on quality reads for our students
We have been working with Mrs Burke, English Leader of Learning, to build our collection with quality ‘must read’ books for students. The arrival of these fantastic books including some reprinted classics and many modern additions to both our fiction and non-fiction collection is creating quite a buzz as patrons look forward to the books going on display for borrowing. Many are part of the Renaissance Accelerated Reading scheme.
What are you reading now?
Over the next few newsletters, we are looking forward to sharing reading reviews as we ask our students and staff to share in our segment “What Are You Reading Now?”
