Prep Reminders: 

• Next Wednesday the 8th of June, we are heading on our excursion to the Capital Theatre to watch 'Guess How Much I Love You'. 
  We are asking everyone to please bring their recess packed in a separate plastic bag or container as we will be transporting these in a large classroom tub. Please ensure your child's recess bag/container and drink bottle are clearly named. 
  A reminder that school uniform needs to be worn on excursions also.

What we have been up to...

All Prep classes were very appreciative of all the parent/special visitors that came into our classrooms last Friday. It was lovely to have so many friendly faces helping all students with our fun Jack and the Beanstalk craft activity. All of the children absolutely loved it!

Upcoming Fortnight

Term 2 

Week 7 

Literacy: This week our students will be completing a range of learning activities from all of the first 4 stages of letter sounds. Our Heart Word is 'for' and our word family is 'am - jam, ham, dam'.

Week 8

Literacy: we will continue to revise all of our work on the Stages 1 - 4 sounds. Our Heart Word is 'her' and our word family is 'ub - cub, hub, rub'. 

Over the next fortnight in Mathematics, we will be learning about patterns. We will learn how to copy and continue patterns and sort and group objects by their attributes.

In number we will be working on place value- tens/ones. We will learn how to count, name and write these numbers e.g. 25 - has 2 tens and 5 ones.
