Respectful Relationships

In 3/4 Daenke, we have been learning all about Personal Strengths this term. We have discussed the difference between talents or skills, versus personal strengths. We began to understand that personal strengths are the things that make up our personality and how people might see us.

In a goal-setting session last Monday, we brainstormed a personal strength that we could work on for the week at school, then checked in a week later to see how we went. Here are some of our examples:

“I will try to be resilient this week. I won’t break down from pain if I get hurt, I will just say ‘Ouch’ and move on.”

“I will try to be patient this week. I will wait for my turn to speak.”

“I will try to be honest this week. If I make a mistake, I will not blame it on someone else.”

“I will try to be caring this week. I will look after people who I see are hurt in the playground.”

SWPBS

Students have been working really hard all term to earn their GuGu stickers by following our school expectations. We are beginning to see many students be rewarded with their Bronze Certificates. with a total of 64 handed out so far this year.

Students are enjoying cashing in their stickers for a prize. Keep up the awesome work everyone!
