Principal's report

Mr Shaun McClare

I would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which Kalinda Primary school gathers, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. I would like to pay my respects to their elders past, present, and emerging.

Winter Solstice Festival

As we come towards the end of a very busy term, we are really looking forward to the Winter Solstice Festival in the final week. It will be another great opportunity for our community to connect, parents to enjoy time at school with their children and most importantly, to have fun.

Celebrating the shortest day of the year and looking forward to brighter times ahead is really fitting at the moment. I look forward to seeing many families at school on the 21st June.

Congratulations Judson

Congratulations to former Kalinda student Judson Clarke who played his first match for Richmond last night. It takes a great deal of determination, resilience and hard work to play sport at such an elite level and everyone at Kalinda is so proud of his achievements as he begins his football career.

As teachers, we are incredibly proud to see all the amazing things our students go on to achieve.  On the last day of term, we will be having a special dress-up day that Junior School Council has planned. The theme of this day is 'When I grow up'.  Supporting our students to be life-long learners who are able to aim for the stars and work towards these dreams is really a huge part of our purpose here at Kalinda.

2023 Enrolments

For any families in our community with younger siblings planning to come to begin at Kalinda in 2023, we would ask that you please submit their enrolment form as soon as possible. This allows us to begin planning for 2023.
