Jane Alexander
A long-time member of the Greensborough College staff, Jane was a teacher for many years working in the Business and Humanities teaching areas as well as being the Careers Counsellor. In recent years, Jane has joined the Education Support Personnel team, continuing her role as a Careers Counsellor, guiding students with course selections, pathways choices and tertiary planning. The positive destinations of Greensborough College students is one of the highest in the network.
Thomas Bell
Thomas joined the team this year and he works in the Classroom Support area providing learning support to students with specific learning needs and general support for other students.
Cindi Carr
Cindi is an experienced member of our Classroom Support team providing learning support to many students over the past few years. Cindi advocates for students with additional needs and guides them so that they are actively and positively engaged in their learning.
Sue Davison
Sue is a long-time member of the Greensborough College staff. She was also a member of our parent community when her children were students here. Sue’s knowledge, expertise and experience in the area of Programs for Students with Disabilities has resulted in our school being able to deliver positive and successful outcomes for students of all abilities.
Karina Dienjes
In term 3 we will welcome Karina back into her role as the Student Wellbeing Coordinator. Karina has been on family leave since late last year. She will rejoin our Wellbeing team continuing her role counselling students, coordinating the case management and referrals and delivering whole school wellbeing programs and professional development for staff. Karina will touch base for a couple of days at the end of this term and we look forward to her returning to our school.
Meredith Dokos
Meredith has had a long and successful career at Greensborough College for over fifteen years. Meredith was also a student at Watsonia High School, before it merged with Watsonia Technical School to become Greensborough College. Meredith was once taught by Jane Alexander. These days Meredith will be greeting you in the Reception or on the phone. Her role is in Student Administration and Human Resources.
Ashley Flentjar
While Ash is not officially in Education Support Personnel, he is a regular feature of our technical support team. Ash works in IT support and assists staff and students with any IT technical issues. He is also responsible for providing the support for the school in delivering a successful Microsoft Teams and Compass platform.
Edie Hutchinson
Edie has recently joined the team as a Youth Worker, supporting students at the tier 1 level of wellbeing support. This includes working with students on issues around relationships, anxiety and gender identity. Edie is currently delivering the I am Mindful program alongside our Chaplain, Jack Joynson.
Jack Joynson
Jack joined the Wellbeing team early in 2021 via the National School Chaplaincy Program. Jack is a Youth Worker, supporting students at the tier 1 level of wellbeing support. He has been instrumental in supporting the Rainbow Space for students and he is also collaborating with Edie to deliver the I am Mindful Program.
Matthew McKay
Matthew joined the team this year and he works in the Classroom Support area providing learning support to students with specific learning needs and general support for other students.
Nusra Latif Quereshi
Nusra joined the Classroom Support team last term. She provides support for students with specific learning needs and general support to other students in the classroom.
Angela Lawson
Angela is one of the longest serving members of the Administration team having been at the school for over eighteen years. Angela has been the Personal Assistant to three Principals in that time. Angela also supports the work in the team by greeting visitors at reception and taking telephone enquiries. If you have wondered who creates the wonderful Facebook and Instagram posts – wonder no more – it is Angela.
Melissa Lenten
Melissa has been at the College for a number of years as part of the Secondary School Nurses Program. Melissa’s knowledge, experience and expertise in the health promotions field is invaluable. She is a member of the Wellbeing team and collaborates with the team to deliver targeted support and programs to individuals, small groups and whole cohorts.
Robyn Marett
Robyn joined us at the beginning of the year as part of the Mental Health Practitioner Program. She is and Occupational Therapist by trade and is working with the Wellbeing team, counselling students at the tier 2 and 3 levels of wellbeing and delivering professional learning to staff.
Amany Shafik
We are pleased to announce that Amany is now in an ongoing position at the College. Amany joined us half way through 2021 and has completed a year at the College as the Laboratory Technician. Amany provides support for Science teachers and students by preparing experiments and practical lessons in Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Psychology as well as junior Science. She now has an amazing state-of-the-art laboratory and science classrooms to work in. Amany will be here for years to come.
Robyn Stephens
Robyn has been at the College for a number of years, providing support to our Food Technology team. She works in the kitchen, setting up cooking classes, cleaning and ordering the food for lessons. Robyn also provides support for the whole staff by ensuring we have milk for our tea and coffee every day.
Kerri Trevaskis
Kerri has been the Business Manager at Greensborough College since 2020, having transferred from Victoria University Secondary College. Kerri’s knowledge, expertise and experience is highly valued in her role as she manages the finances, budgets as well as all of the Education Support Personnel. Kerri has a keen eye for what the College needs and how to get it!
Kym Tyrrell
Kym is our most recent addition to the team working with the Classroom Support team. She provides learning support for students with specific learning needs as well as general support for other students in classes.
Colleen Wiegand
Colleen formerly worked in the College in the Classroom Support team and is now a member of the Administration team. Colleen is the first person you see in reception when you come to the College. Colleen is also a friendly voice on the phone providing information and guidance to parents around student absences, excursions and parent payments. As well as Student Administration Colleen is also responsible for VET (Vocational Education and Training) and VASS (VCE Administration Systems) Administration. You will also know Colleen as a parent member of the community, having three children currently enrolled at the College.
Malcolm Williams
Malcolm is responsible for the maintenance of the grounds at the College. With all the new facilities some of Malcolm’s past workload of maintaining buildings has been reduced! Malcolm supports the school by keeping the grounds safe and clean, regularly mowing, gardening and clearing areas. During the holidays Malcolm will undertake other major projects such as painting and repairing.
Abbey Xie
One last post about Abbey, who has been our Finance Officer at the College for the past two years. Abbey will be taking up another position at a school close to her home. Abbey is a wiz with numbers and finance and we will miss her attention to detail and her gentle persuasion of the Principals to “do the banking”. Good luck Abbey at your new school.
Dianna Zuell
As well as being a member of the Classroom Support team, Di is also a parent member in our community. Di has a wealth of knowledge and experience in classroom support and is a leader in the area, advocating for students, modelling best practices for the new Education Support Personnel and providing careful and specific support for students with specific needs and for other students.
