UPCOMING LEARNING

During the next fortnight, students will be undertaking learning in following areas:

Reading	Summarising non-fiction texts. Reading and responding to procedural texts.
Writing	Hands on experiences followed by procedural writing.
Maths	Hands on experiences and making connections with multiplication and division.
Science	Chemical experiments: Walking water and making play dough.
Inquiry	Learning about Australia’s Indigenous cultures.
Social & emotional learning	Exploring fair play and respecting others.

CELEBRATION OF LEARNING

Can you provide accurate instructions for someone to wrap a book? Really easy do you think? Maybe you should ask the Year 3 students to let you know how they went!

We also showed a lot of persistence and teamwork making origami bird finger puppets. The next task was to record the steps so someone else could also do the same. These experiences were highlighting the writing genre focus; PROCEDURE WRITING.
