school council

dear parents and families

If there is one certainty at the moment, it’s that change is ever-present and we are being asked to be extra resilient in supporting our families, our institutions and our community. The members of School Council are so mindful how a time such as this can be worrying and overwhelming. We really echo much of the commentary from the BNW Leadership Team; be kind to yourself and those around you.

School Council had hoped to meet this week, but with Hannah being unavailable and the rest of the leadership team being flat out preparing for the return of some students we have postponed the meeting for a week or two.

We were going to see a presentation from the Communications Working Party and work through a response to the community based on the Communications Survey that over 120 of you completed. Again, and with apologies, this will be postponed, but we will get something to you all as soon as we can.

School Council are finding other ways to talk to BNW and the Leadership Team about the return to school plans. Just as so much of the past months, there is likely to be some tweaking at the edges as plan shift and adapt to the realities of people returning to face to face contact. Please do not hesitate to reach out to School Council, teachers or the Leadership Team with any feedback.

The many Sub Committees at BNW continue to work to support you and the school. Just to name a few; the Buildings & Grounds have a major hand hygiene program being delivered in the coming days and weeks (sanitisers, tapes, soap, etc), OSHC are preparing for the return of students, and CET are hosting the (SOLD OUT!) trivia night this weekend.

Please take care, please look after yourselves and please look after those around you. Our thoughts are with everyone.
