Returning to School

Hello Everyone,

I hope this newsletter finds you all healthy and coping with this very different world that we are used to.  We are looking forward to our Gr Preps/1/2's returning to school next week and I know they will be very excited to see each other again.  I encourage the Gr 3-6's to continue to work hard and finish off the remote learning the best they can.  Good luck!

As mentioned last week, the Premier has announced a return to school plan that starts next week:

Monday 25th May Pupil Free Day. No remote learning - ALL Grades.

Tuesday 26 May Gr Prep, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students return to school (full weeks)

Tuesday 9 June Gr 3 – 6 students resume. (full weeks)

Attached below is a more detailed letter (emailed to parents and carers yesterday) regarding the procedures we have put in place to adhere to the regulations the Government has put in place.  Please pay particular attention to drop off and pick up rules, which require Gr 2-6 parents and carers to remain in cars.

New School App

Please note that our old school App is no longer functional, Simon Everywhere is our new communication centre and offers the same features as the old App. We ask families to discontinue using the old App, in particular for student absences, and ensure you have access to Simon Everywhere.

For those of you needing to download the new St Mary's App please go to the Simon Everywhere page of this newsletter for details.

Principal's Award

Term 2 Week 6 Emiliana Corish Zito.

Emiliana has been working at a very high level this term at home and has continually pushed herself to produce excellent work. The Tin Foil Robot she completed for art was a great example of this.  She not only made a fantastic model, but she showed great initiative by making it move with a sphero (robotic ball)! Congratulations Emiliana!!
