Basketball

Tamworth Basketball is looking to resume junior competitions at the beginning of Term 3, Thursday 23rd July.

Please note this is the competition resuming, not a new competition, so teams that were together in March will remain for the competition resuming in July. If you have concerns about your child participating, please contact Mrs Tash Gippel and she will be in touch with Scott Ward (President of Tamworth Basketball). Anyone who had paid their fees for the previous competition will have that carry forward, and anyone who had not registered or paid fees will be required to do so. More information will be sent in the coming weeks in this regard.

Things will look a little bit different. Some restrictions in terms of numbers of people able to be present and the inability for people to be able to hang around between games. Basketball NSW is encouraging a policy of arrive, play, leave. All of this is subject to the state government health orders and continued lifting of restrictions. If plans should change then updates will be provided.

Netball

St Edward’s Netball Teams for 2020

Netball ‘Meet and Greet Day’ is Thursday 2nd July at 3:30pm at the primary school netball courts. Please don't enter the school, just go straight to the netball courts behind the church. Hand sanitiser will be available.

Teams will meet Coaches and discuss the season, this is NOT a training session.

Uniforms: Netball uniforms will be available for purchase (new and second hand). EFTPOS only - no cash sales.

Primary school kids can wait on the library steps after school as a normal training day and will be taken to the courts by Clare and Nikki. We will finish around 4:00pm.

The first game of the 2020 netball season is Saturday 18th July (the last weekend of the school holidays). We're hoping the draw is done before the holidays so we can let everyone know their game times. The first game now begins at 11:50am.

St Edward’s Netball Club also has Club Duty for the first game. It would be great if some people could get to the courts a little earlier to help Clare and Nikki set up!

Hi All,

With the continual easing of restrictions we will be able to play touch again in the near future. Of course, this is all quite fluid and changes may be made at any time.

At this stage, our plan is to resume our Primary Competitions in Term 3, Week 3, 3rd August 2020. It is our intention to recommence our competition where we left off – which means that all monies paid will be carried over into this competition. All points will also be carried over. Obviously, if there are people who are no longer playing, we will endeavour to make arrangements to refund their money.

We are developing our COVID-19 plan and will be able to furnish you with further playing protocols as we near our start date. It will be imperative that every player is registered on our website.
