Electives Information Evening Years 7-9

Thank you to both students and parents for the support for the Elective Information Evening. The process is on track with the preference forms compiled to create the Elective Blocking Sheet. Please can all students currently in Year 7, 8 & 9 hand in their Blocking Forms into Miss Shuttleworth or the Front Office by Wednesday 21st August 2019.

Yearbook 2019 Team

Students met with Yearbook Coordinators - Mrs Domaschenz and Mr Bucknell earlier this term to start working on the 2019 Yearbook. Dashel Adams, Albert Rijal, Ashleigh Walton and hopefully a couple of other student volunteers will be helping to gather all the pictures and reports of events and activities that have happened throughout the school year.

Operation Flinders 2019

On Wednesday August 7, a group of exhausted students returned from their adventures at Operation Flinders. Some a little worse for wear than others!

Jesse Batterham, Stephen Harrold, Mark Kelly, Isaac McGuigan, Rex Piera-Matthews and Josh Teague along with Mr Clissold trekked more than 100kms over eight days.

Camp Awakenings

Bendigo Bank continue their support in regional communities by partnering with Camp Awakenings, an Australian youth development program, founded in 2000. The bank provide sponsorship to send students from across the state to participate in a camp created specifically for year nine students. In Victoria it will be held at Cave Hill Creek Campsite in Beaufort over three days.

Rachael Madden has been selected to attend from Edenhope College and she will be participating in three days of challenging activities, games and team building sessions that we know she will embrace and benefit from. During this busy time of the year for sports finals we really commend Rachel for making a hard choice around missing her team sport of hockey and wish her well on her Camp Awakenings experience over the weekend.

Visual Arts Elective

Year 8-10 students in the Visual Arts Elective have done some drawings based on the Book Week theme 'Reading is my Secret Power'. 

Food Technology Elective

Food Technology this week. Students have been learning about Moist cooking methods and prepared Steamed Pork Buns and Poached Pears.
