Year 5/6 Melbourne Camp
Footscray
On the second last day of camp we went to Footscray. First we walked to a bakery and we tried custard steam buns. They were yum as. Next, we walked to a Chinese medicine shop and we tried hawthorn berry biscuits. Soon after we sat on a bench and we had to try BBQ chicken feet. They were awful! Then we walked across the road and we got sugar cane drinks. They where yum.

Ice-skating
The last activity that we did on Tuesday was ice-skating and the time that we arrived was 7:00. We had to get our ice skates, so we gave our sizes so they can fit. Then we went on the ice, and we had lessons. After that we were ice-skating for free. Then we got off so they could clean the ice. Then they were done. We got back on the ice. After that we got off again then we took off the skates then we put our normal shoes back on. We left at 9:00.

CAMP
On the last day of camp we went to the Queen Victoria Markets. When we got there we saw a stand called Splat Balls. There were eggs, faces, eyeballs, balls and animals. After we went to String Bean Alley which was newly being opened. I jumped in front of the camera but I didn’t make it on the News. Soon after we went to the gelato stand in shed F. We got to try heaps of different flavors and I saw my papa there too. Then we went to the churros stand and ate churros. Next, we went to the fruit and veggies section and bought our lunch. We next went to the deli section where we found a LOLLY SHOP, where we probably went broke.
My favorite part was when I saw my papa.

Book Week 2019
On Thursday the 22nd of August, students will be able to come to school dressed up as a book character or a character that depicts this year’s theme ‘Reading is my Secret Power’.
Grandparents and Special Friends are invited to come to Edenhope College on Thursday the 22nd of August. The day will start at 10am. Visitors will be able to visit classrooms and spend time with their grandchildren/friend in the classrooms. All visitors will be able to attend a morning tea and they will then have the opportunity to watch the Book Character/Dress-up parade.
2/3/4 Agriculture
On Friday August 2, the 2/3/4 class went to meet the recently arrived chickens. The students were given a lesson in how to correctly handle them during their Agriculture class with Mr Shaw
Kinder Visit 06/08
On Tuesday the Kinder kids came for a visit. First, we had Investigative Play. Next, we had recess and a play. Then, it was time to go inside. I had a fun time.

On Tuesday the Kinder kids came for a visit. First we had Investigative Play. Next, we had recess then we went out and we had a play. Then we went in. Then the Kinder kids went back to the Kinder. I had a good time.

On Tuesday the Kinder kids came for a visit. First, we had Investigative Play. Next, we had recess and a play. Then, it was time to go. I like playing with the Kinder kids.

On Tuesday the Kinder kids came for a visit. First, we had Investigative Play. I played with Bridie. Next, we came down on the carpet. Then it was recess, we went out to eat and then we had a play in the playground.
I helped with the hole in the sandpit, we got to the bottom of the sandpit. Then the bell went. Then the F-1 and the Kinder kids had a few more minutes and then we had to go inside. Then the Kinder kids went back to Kinder and then we got back to doing our work. I liked it because I liked making new friends.

F/1 Agriculture
Mrs Domaschenz and the F/1 students have been busy in the F/1 Veggie patch.
They cleared out all the weeds before planting seedlings including strawberries, broccoli, cauliflower, spring onion and spinach.
F/1 STEAM
Students read the story Ollie and the Wind and have been designing and building something for Ollie. The students are looking forward to testing their creations from kites to planes and boats - their creativity is amazing.
