SOCKTOBER - Catholic Mission

ST JOSEPH'S WARIALDA                                     KICKING GOALS FOR KIDS IN NEED

St Joseph's children are learning about the work of the Good Shepherd Sisters in Bangkok who run a kindergarten that provides a caring learning environment for the children and allows their parents, often single mothers, to work and support the family. Our fundraising activity will be to make a “sockball” – a makeshift soccer ball made of recycled materials like old socks. The activity will take place on Friday, October 29th. The activity will help our students to understand the reality of children who cannot afford high-quality balls found in schools across Australia.

Thank you to the families and friends of St Joseph's who have already donated to our Socktober online page. The total as at the publishing of our iNewsletter ...

This year Catholic Mission has set up an online donations page.

You can support St Joseph Warialda's Socktober effort on our online donations page:

Our students thank you in advance for helping them kick their goals in support of the children in Thailand and we will track the amount raised and provide updates on our Facebook page.

Blessings for the fortnight ahead.
