New 20 piece challenge, Halloween pieces & Christmas recital
Hope you had a good start to the term and most of you are working towards the new "20 piece challenge" . The googleform to download and fill up as you learn and master your selected music is here. The challenge ends on 28 June 2022. The whole idea of the challenge is to get our students motivated to learn and play as widely as possible. Remember learning music is like learning a language. One needs to read widely and lots to gain competence in the language!
A rich repertoire practice in music not only increases musical skills and gives a positive musical outcome, it also builds a body of general knowledge in different genres of music. This would in turn fuel interest in music as or students ar eencouraged to listen to recordings of the pieces they learn on a regular basis!
Our deserving achievers for the last Challenge (30 Piece Challenge) are Justin Zhao and Oliver Wang. They have shown commitment and perseverence in learning a whole range of piano music and had performed some of these pieces from the Creative Keys 2 book right up to the Exploring Preliminary book with duet pieces, Halloween piano music competently. Well done Oliver and Justin!
