PI DAY COMPETITION

On International Pi Day, Wednesday 14 March, McKinnon celebrated with our annual Pi Reciting Competition. We had class champions across all years compete against their peers to become the year level champion.

The following students were awarded as the year level champions:

In Year 7, Metteya Gharde from Chisholm recited 126 places.

In Year 8, Max Wiseman from Chisholm recited 203 places.

In Year 9, Chris Liolios from Gilmore smashed the school record by reciting 720 places.

In Year 10, Grace James from Chisholm recited 35 places this year.

In Year 11, the Gilmore student Harry Fletcher recited 206 places making him the year level champion for the fifth year in a row.

In Year 12, Yonghan Wang from Chisholm also broke the previous record by reciting 605 places.

Thank you and congratulations to all involved and made the competition a success.

We look forward to Pi Day next year!
