Our P & F, Easter Fair Committee and K-6 classes are starting to get organised for the stalls at the Easter Fair, which is being held on Friday 3 April. Notes will be sent home shortly as to what your child’s class is responsible for. Even a little bit of assistance will go a long way!
As we come to the end of the term our teachers would like to hold Family Conferences. If you have any concerns about your child’s progress this is a great chance to discuss it with class teachers and hear about their learning goals. These will be held on Monday 30 March in the school Hall from 3:30pm – 7:30pm. They will take on a different format this year and we ask that you bring your child with you to the meeting, so that they can share their learning goal for the semester with you. Booking sheets have gone home. If you cannot make one of these times, please contact the classroom teacher to set up an alternative meeting. Reminders, to fit all parents in meetings are only 10 minutes in duration. If you require extra time, please discuss this with the teacher so an alternative date can be organised. Mrs Selig will be holding her interviews in Week 8.
At Holy Trinity we see communication to parents as an important aspect of school life so as everyone can work together. Many of the classes from Kindergarten to Year 6 have started to use Class Dojo. This is a classroom communication app used to share reports between parents and teachers. Teachers can track student behaviour and upload photos or videos. If your child’s classroom teacher is using this app, it would be great if you could connect to the app. You are also able to receive notifications when they come through or you can turn this off. If you have problems connecting to your class account, please don’t hesitate to ask your child’s teacher. Other classroom teachers have also set up email accounts so as they can make regular contact and send photos. Through both of these services you are able to let classroom teachers know of any concerns you or your child is having as well. All information is kept private.
