Busy Bee & Boat Moorings

Many thanks to the few people who came along and helped at the busy bee; painting, driveway repairs, and drain cleaning, even changing a light bulb.

Everyone else missed out on Karen’s burgers and bar service after the work was done.

Now for the serious issue of boat moorings.

After the last strong south west storms everyone was told to check lines, chains, weights, etc. However, apparently many boat owners failed to do this.

Volunteer Club members were out checking and fixing some boats busted ropes all day!

The Club Safety Auditor and Facilities Director will be in touch shortly with boat owners to inform them of repairs that must be applied to their pen. If this is not done within a very short time frame the Club will pay for the repairs, which in turn, will be charged to the boat owner.

Boat owners must check weather forecasts and not just look at weather at their residence because there is a big difference even between the Sailing Club and one street away behind the gum trees!

Many thanks to those people who attended to the damaged lines, etc.
