French Alliance Française
On Tuesday 2 August, Year 10, 11 and 12 French ATAR students sat the Alliance Française examination. This is the statewide prestigious examination that is held annually that gives students the chance to measure their success against their peers. It is a valuable experience for the Year 11 and 12 French ATAR students to gain experience in a formal examination that helps them in their future ATAR and WACE examinations.
Bonne chance pour les étudiants and we look forward to receiving their results.

Fr Kevin King Cup Athletics Carnival
Our Interhouse Athletics Carnival was a huge success last Friday the weather held out for a fantastic day. The Year 12 parades, dances and war cries were some of the best John XXIII College has ever seen and the costumes were outstanding. Congratulations to all students who represented their houses proudly on the track and in their field events.
The competition for the Father Kevin King Cup was very close throughout the day, however it was Loreto House who were victorious in the end. This year our Spirit Award was taken out by Ward House and the best dressed house, St Louis. A huge congratulations must go to all Houses, as the spirit displayed was incredible.
The Interhouse Carnival results will be used to start the process of ACC Team selection. There will also be a NAS Athletics Carnival for Year 7-10 students held August 23rd at HBF Athletics stadium against the NAS Schools. The top 5 students in each event will be selected for this day, this will be posted in the student notices Monday next week. There will be more information to come in next weeks newsletter.
All results for the track and field events have been up in the Pavilion this week for students to look at. If there are any issue with results, students are encouraged to email Miss Pillera at jessica.pillera@cewa.edu.au

The Senior Boys Soccer Team defeated South Coast Baptist College 4-1 and are through to the semi-final next week against Kingsway Christian College. It was another very exciting game and the boys should be extremely proud of the way they represented the College. For all those wishing to attend the game, it will be held at Britannia Road Reserve, Mount Hawthorn for a 4:00pm start. It would be so wonderful to see as much support for the boys as possible. All the best to our team!!!
