Around The Primary

Dear Parents

Today we celebrated John XXIII Day in fine style!

Our whole school community commenced the day with a lovely Mass in the St Louis Sports Centre.

The students then visited the mini fete, superbly organised by our Year 5 and 6 students. The proceeds raised through the stalls will go to Mary Ward International and Jesuit Missions.

The fun and games continued in the afternoon – Rebecca Flanagan, an amazing storyteller visited Pre-Kindy, Pre-Primary and Year One. Years 1, 2, 5 and 6s were entertained by Kaboom (drumming incursion).  Our Year 3 and 4s thoroughly enjoyed participating in a Soccer competition on the Secondary ovals.

Special thanks to all the staff for their hard work behind the scenes to ensure the students had a fun-filled day.

Everyone had a magnificent time!

Kind regards

Sports Update

IPSHA Cross Country Carnival

The IPSHA Cross Country Carnival was a success even though the course was extremely wet.  The races were run at a blistering pace and were very competitive.  Our runners representing John XXIII College performed amazingly and should be very proud of their efforts.  A full list of times and places can be found on the PE notice board near the Year 6 classrooms.

School Sports WA Hockey

We are delighted to share that the Year 5 & 6 Hockey teams representing John XXIII College at the SSWA Hockey Carnival has been rescheduled to Tuesday 9 August.

The Athletics season is now upon us!  Training for Year 3–6 students will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30pm to 4:30pm on the Secondary ovals.  All are welcome, no sign up required.
