Junior School Gymnastics

There has been a lot of excitement in Prep to Year 4 classes this week as they were bused down to Warrnambool Springers as part of their PE program. Students are jumping, climbing, swinging and balancing on the wonderful equipment over three weeks. I'm sure if you ask one of the students, they would love to tell you all the wonderful activities they are getting up to.

Senior Sports Academies

Term 3 is off to a flying start with season two of Lunchtime League set to begin in week 3, alongside our new Sports Academies program. Term 3 offers students the opportunity to join our Volleyball or Badminton academies fortnightly during Friday lunchtimes. With advanced training, structured game play, fitness component training and skill development sessions, our academies are lined up to develop our athletes for future competitions in Term 4 2022 and Term 1 2023. Year 7 & 8 Badminton

On June 22nd our Year 7 & 8 boys Badminton teams travelled to Ballarat for the Greater Western Region competition hosted at the Ken Kay Badminton Stadium. Competing against schools from Ballarat, Colac, Horsham and more, our two teams both gave their best efforts for the day. Our Year 8 team finished 2nd in their pool and 4th overall, a tremendous achievement against the competition present on the day. Our Year 7 team comprised of Ben, Zac, Tobi and Kaden, remained undefeated for the day and took out the overall Year 7 boys 1st place pennant! Congratulations to both teams and stay tuned as we follow the Year 7 boys to their state tournament later in the term!

Lunchtime League

With the conclusion of season one of Lunchtime League, we pass on our congratulations to the Scorpions. Captained by Year 10 student, Solomon Keane, this team remained undefeated all season. Even more impressive was the great sportsmanship on display and the involvement of so many students from our Year 12s all the way down to Year 5. We look forward to season two kicking off next week!
