Science Department Update
Year 7
Year 7's are currently learning about Chemical Science and Forces. In the Chemical Science unit, students have been exploring various separation techniques, including evaporation and chromatography.
Year 8
Students have been learning about the Periodic Table and elements. In these photos students were learning about the properties or metals and non-metals and creating a chemical reaction by adding magnesium to hydrochloric acid.
Year 9
Year 9 students are studying Chemistry also and have been learning about atoms and consolidating their understanding of the Periodic Table.
Year 11 Physics
Year 11 students recently went to the Gippsland Tech School, where they explored the wave nature of light. Students conducted experiments, collected, and analysed data before recreating Thomas Young’s famous double slit experiment.
VCE Psychology
Eye dissection and investigating whether students are super tasters.
Year 12 Physics
Students have been investigating light.
