New Editorial Committee
We are delighted to confirm that we have successfully appointed our Editorial Committee for ISQua Communications.
We have recruited Emma Sacks (USA) as our Editor-in-Chief. Emma is a consultant for the World Health Organization on Pediatric Quality of Care, and Associate Faculty at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in the Health Systems Program.
We have also recruited two Deputy Editors. Richard Greenhill (USA), is Assistant Professor, Department of Healthcare Management & Leadership, TTUHSC School of Health Professions. Patrick Palmieri (Peru), is Director, Evidence-Based Health Care South America: A Joanna Briggs Institute Affiliated Group (Chile, Colombia, Peru).
Our Editorial Committee has already begun work on setting up our new Journal. As well as being a cascade journal from the International Journal for Quality in Health Care (IJQHC), IJQHC Communications will focus on quality improvement in the health care system research protocols and the patient journey.

Editorial Apprenticeship Programme
ISQua and OUP's new journal, IJQHC Communications, will launch in 2021. Expressions of interest are now being invited for our Editorial Apprenticeship Programme, which will commence on 1st February 2021.
IJQHC Communications will appoint two trainee Editors to the IJQHC Editorial Apprenticeship Programme. This will be a one-year apprenticeship for aspiring future editors of scientific journals.
Requirements of applicants
- Evidence of publications in peer-review journals
- Evidence of being a reviewer for a peer-reviewed journal
- Academic affiliation
- Participation in research or quality improvement programmes
- Past experience of editing papers
