MASSES

Thank you to those who have been able to join us in our Stage Masses.  It is wonderful to be able to attend Mass again with our students.  The children have found it unusual being seated so far apart, however they have been reverent and attentive throughout.

We look forward to welcoming parents of Yr 6 students to the Yr 6 Graduation Mass on the 9th December.  Registration to attend will be made available via Compass.

ADVENT

The students are currently learning about Advent.  This can be a challenging time for the  younger students as they know that Christmas is coming soon and it is hard not to think about that, especially when there is so much advertising about Christmas gifts.  It is lovely to watch the awe in their faces as the wonder of the true Christmas story unfolds each day in their lessons.  There are many discussions around the importance of patience and how waiting can be very beneficial, as it allows us time to prepare for special events.

The promise of the baby born in Bethlehem 2000 years ago is explained to the students through the Advent themes of waiting, preparation, light in the darkness and the coming of the promised Messiah.  These lead us into the Christmas story, a story that is well known to the children.
