We want you to Make Every Drop Count!

Did you know that Brimbank residents currently use an average of 159 litres of water per person, per day? That’s four litres more than the encouraged Target 155 daily water consumption goal for Melburnians (155 litres, per person, per day).

Residential water usage makes up for 65 per cent of Melbourne’s total water consumption with showering accounting for 31 per cent of the water we use at home. By implementing a few simple, but effective water saving measures in the home and garden, like shaving a minute off our shower and using the half flush when we can, we can easily bring down that daily average water usage.

Council is proud to be supporting City West Water’s latest water conservation campaign, Make Every Drop Count and their ‘Water Winners’ competition which will run throughout the month of February.

All you have to do is submit your favourite water saving tip from around your home or garden and you could win one of four weekly prizes of a $200 Bunnings gift card. For more information about the competition and how to enter, please visit yoursay.citywestwater.com.au/water-winners.
