Year 7-9 Athletics 

On the 28th of March, our annual 7-9 Athletics carnival took place at Keilor athletics Track. We were fortunate enough to have a beautiful day. Students participated in both track and field events on the day and was great to see so many students participating and having fun, which is all it is about. A special congratulation to those students who placed in an event and will therefore progress to Athletics division and be a part of our Brookside College Athletics team, who will compete later in the year. A highlight from the day was the students vs teachers relay race where the teachers went down to a loss to our student teams, with them putting the teachers to shame and leaving us with not trophy only with a few hamstring injuries.

Another Highlight for our secondary sport was the efforts by our Year 7 summer sports team, where a selection of students went out to compete against the Maribyrnong division in Volleyball, Tennis and Cricket. Students demonstrated what Brookside does best, teamwork, resilience and hard work, with a few close games and plenty of smiles on the day. The year 7 Boys Tennis team were successful in their competition and will be progressing to the next round which are to be held later on the Year, so a huge congratulations to Oliver, Omer, Nelson, Will and Mathushan!
