Counting Down!

What an exciting time of the year it is where we have opportunity to encourage all our students to finish well. Our Year 12's are one-by-one completing the last of their assignments, sitting exams, cleaning out lockers and finishing their schooling years with us.  A number of class excursions are planned over the coming weeks, certificates are being printed for Presentation Nights, Student Reports being written and the Year Book is being created - the office is a hive of activity and we love it!!

Talking about Year Books, each family will receive a  complimentary 2019 Year Book - Just our way of saying "Thanks for another great year!" Extra copies will be available to order/purchase on Primary Presentation Night. Copies of the Year Book will be available from mid January 2020 so that we are able to capture and celebrate all events that occur to the end of the year.

Primary Swimming Week is in Week 7. Information regarding the days and times of lessons has been sent home and is included again in this Newsletter on the Primary News page.  If you are interested in coming along, please take note of the time your child will be at the pool as you are welcome to join them.

Orientation Days for children joining us in 2020 are nearly upon us.

Our Reception 2020 parents will have their Reception Information session this Wednesday afternoon, 13 November 2019 at 5:00pm and I'm sure the children are eagerly awaiting their visits with their new class teachers.

*  Reception visits are scheduled for Wednesday 20 November, Tuesday 26 November and Monday 2 December 2018 from 9:10am to 11:10am. Please refer to your letter as to what to bring along.

*  All other children joining us in 2020 from Year 1 to Year 12 will come for the whole day on Monday 2 December 2019.

2020 Stationery/Booklists are due out at the end of this week. You will be required to order and pay online through Lighthouse Books and they will be delivered to the school as in previous years. Detailed information is provided on the order forms  regarding the ordering and payment process.

One of our parents, Trudy Hull, is helping to run a fundraiser for the drought stricken farmers, "Operation Raindeer".

Details are here for the event being run at the Strathalbyn Racecourse on Saturday 7 December 2019.

If you have any concerns or questions, please bring them immediately to our attention via the office, either in person, in writing by email to strathalbyn@tyndale.sa.edu.au or call us on 8536 5400 so we can be quick to provide a resolution to your query.

Have a fabulous week.
