Community Building
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we near the half year mark, I think it is a perfect time to reflect on how we work together to build a strong sense of community. A strong sense of community benefits everyone; students feel like they belong, parents feel welcome and are more likely to take an active role in their child's education and teachers feel valued.
Our School Council has a Community Building sub-committee. They are responsible for organising events such as the Welcome Picnic, Community Afternoon Tea events, the Bush Dance and parent information sessions such as the upcoming Body Confident Children and Teens.
We are always seeking input from parents on how we can work to strengthen the school's links to our community. If you are interested in joining this sub-committee (you don't have to be on the Council) or have suggestions for community building events please email chps_schoolcouncil@cliftonhillps.vic.edu.au or smith.megan.s@edumail.vic.gov.au.
Be sure to book your upcoming parent-teacher conferences with your classroom teacher/s via your Compass portal (browser only). Bookings will be closed at 5pm on Friday 8th June. Contact the office if you require assistance with this.
Bookings are also welcomed for Specialist teachers. Please contact Specialist teachers directly to make a time.
Kind regards,
Megan
