Celebration Of Learning

This Wednesday is our Celebration of Learning evening (5pm-7pm). The students are looking forward to guiding their parents using their Celebration of Learning Menu. A reminder that sausages will be on sale for $2.

Tree Planting

The students and staff have a wonderful opportunity to plant some trees as part of the Scotsburn Phoenix Fire Recovery Program on Monday 17th September. Students will be provided with a BBQ lunch, which will also cater for those students with special dietary requirements.

Planning Day

On Tuesday 18th September, all Scotsburn students will start and finish the day at the Buninyong campus. The Scotsburn Campus teachers have their planning day to start preparing for term 4, so the Scotsburn students will join with the Buninyong Grade 3 students and staff for the day. Scotsburn staff will be in the courtyard to meet students as they arrive in the morning. Unless your child is catching the bus home, we encourage all parents to make arrangements with their children for meeting places at the end of the school day.

Maths Challenge

Students from Buninyong, Woady Yaloak, Delacombe, Dana St, Sebastopol and Lal Lal competed in teams of 4 to complete different Maths challenges throughout the day. Our students, once again, were great and acquitted themselves extremely well throughout the day.

Ecolinc Incursion

Last Wednesday, Ms Geddes arranged a representative from Ecolinc to visit the campus to teach the grades about Frogs (Gr P-2), Life Cycles (Gr 2-4) and Adaptations of Living Things (Gr 4-6). The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience, which will be followed up again during our Ecolinc Excursions this week.

Grade 3 Camp

The Gr 3’s had a wonderful time at Queenscliff last Thursday and Friday. They loved making the pizzas, mountain biking, visiting the Marine Centre and spending time on the beach. Special thanks to Miss Wood and Raquel for assisting at the camp.

Gr 6 Camp

Grade 6 camp to Melbourne is coming up on Wednesday 10th October. Permission notes will be coming home this week for you to return ASAP. The cost of the camp will be $275. Please contact the school office if you experience any challenges with the payment.
