Celebration of Learning

Dear Parents,

Tomorrow night, Wednesday September 12th, we will be holding our ‘Celebration of Learning’ at both the Buninyong and Scotsburn Campuses. This celebration will be STUDENT LED.

Classrooms across the school will be open from 5:00-7:00pm so please come for a short time or the entire time, it is up to you. You will share the classroom with other families where your child will be able to show you their learning journey. They will be able to talk with you about their achievements so far and even the goals they have for the remainder of the year.

We encourage all students to attend this celebration with you, and be both guide and director of their learning and progress - they are very excited! As you watch and listen to your child, we hope it will spark questions you have about their learning. Please take the opportunity to engage in discussion and celebrate their success.

Given there will be a number of parents and children attending at the same time, this event won’t provide the opportunity for you to speak in depth with the teacher about your child’s progress, however if you require time to chat, teachers will be able to find a time on another afternoon to do so.

As well as visiting your child’s classroom, please find some time to share in the wonderful visual art displays which are scattered throughout the school. At Buninyong you will find the majority of these in the Art Room, Library, Prep corridor and Meeting room. At Scotsburn they will be located in the Multi-Purpose Room. Your child will be able to point out their work and the learning they under went in order to create it.

To help out, we are offering coffees (Buninyong Campus Only) and a sausage sizzle, so why not come along join in the fun and have a bite to eat with the Buninyong PS community.
