Principal's Report
Outside of School Hours Care
We’re continuing to make good progress with preparation for running the Outside of School Hours Program from the start of term 4. Parents are now able to register their children and it’s great to see that we have children enrolled for Before School Care. In time, we are confident this will become a valuable service for a large number of parents.
As mentioned last week, we are now in the process of selecting staff to run the program. Currently advertised are a Program Coordinator position and an Educator position. These positions are advertised on Recruitment Online, which is DET’s recruitment website. Simply google Recruitment Online to find where the positions are advertised. We will also be looking for casual staff to be employed as required. If you would like to know more about any of these positions, please contact Mel or Bernie. If you know others that would be perfect for these positions, please encourage them to apply.
A big thank you to Catriona Fox who did an excellent job designing a logo for us. From now on we’ll be using the logo for all signage, documents and communication related to Outside of School Hours Care.
After a few teething troubles last week we are now receiving enrolments for our Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) beginning on the first day of Term 4. We are offering Before and After School Care as well as Vacation Care (commencing in the January 2019 holidays).
To start the booking and enrolment process please follow the link to https://www.qkenhanced.com.au/Account/Embeddable/?databaseId=10567
or head the the School Website
http://buninyongps.vic.edu.au/after-school-care/
and register an account on My Family Lounge. Once registered please send through your booking request. You will then receive an offer. Once you have accepted the offer you will be then prompted to complete the enrolment form to secure your booking.
Should you have any difficulties with the booking process or questions about OSHC please contact Mel in the office.
Grade 3 Camp
Last week I had the pleasure of accompanying students, staff and parents on the grade 3 camp in Queenscliff. Apart from some rain on Thursday, the weather was amazing and the kids learnt a great deal while having loads of fun.
Well done to the grade 3 team who did an excellent job planning and running the camp and to a terrific band of parents who were extremely helpful. Well done to the kids as well who did a great job managing the night away from home and embraced all of the activities and challenges that came their way.
Woorabinda Camp
A reminder to parents with children in grade 4 and 5 that submissions of interest for a Woorabinda Camp in November this year are due by this Friday, September 14.
