Respectful Relationships

Respectful Relationships supports schools and early childhood settings to promote and model respect, positive attitudes and behaviours. It teaches our children how to build healthy relationships, resilience and confidence.

The program is now being implemented in 147 lead schools and 903 partner schools. We are fortunate enough to be one of those partner schools, with our lead school being Caroline Chisholm Secondary College.

Below is a video explaining the positive impact that the program has had on teaching and learning in schools across Victoria.

Here is an update of the topics and units that each Learning Community is currently exploring:

Year PrepMirror mirror on the wall, how are you feeling overall?  - what emotions sound like, feeling grumpy and angry

Year 1/2 - sharing stories about acts of kindness, the choices we make.

Year 3/4 - identifying strengths of the self and others, setting goals to develop strengths

Year 5/6 -  celebrating strengths and identifying strengths of the self and others

Year 5 Kinder Visit

Last Friday, another group of Year 5 students went along to Dickory Dock Kindergarten in Kingsville to visit the children and share in different games and activities with them. John, Brendan, Evie, Monique and Lucinda had a wonderful morning reading books, painting, making sandcastles and pretending to take off in a rocket ship. Here are some photos of their morning.

Year 1/2 Update

In Wellbeing the Year 1/2 students have been exploring what makes a good friend and how we should treat our friends. Students shared stories of when they have shown an act of kindness and discussed the importance of being kind to others. They worked in groups to demonstrate role plays showing the best way to tackle problems in the yard.
