A Blessing and Prayer Tribute

to all Mothers

"Blessed be all mothers

Who have come into our lives

Whose kindness, care and loving remain with us to guide.

Your inspiration in us

Made us strive in every way

Especially to remember

Helping others makes our day.

Mothers, this little tribute

Flows directly from my heart

You are so loved and cherished

Invaluable, one and all, you are.

Mothers'Day

This Sunday, 13th May is Mothers' Day. On this day we celebrate all mothers, grandmothers and other significant women in our lives.

Let us take some time to also reflect on Mary, the mother of Jesus. Mary is  commonly referred to as Mary, Mother of God, Saint Mary, Virgin Mary, Our Lady and Blessed Virgin Mary. She  is one of the most admired figures in Scripture and considered by many to be the greatest of all Christian saints. She was a willing servant who trusted God and obeyed His call. While her life held great honor, her calling also required great suffering. Though there was joy in motherhood, there was great pain in the privilege of being the mother of the Messiah. Despite these things, she responded to God with great obedience and submission to His plan. Her life never robbed Jesus of His glory, for her mission was to witness the glory of the Son of God.
