NIHON MATSURI – JAPAN FESTIVAL DAY 2019

Dress Up

Come dressed up in a Japanese or Asian inspired costume, or in red and white (Japanese flag colours)! As well as traditional Japanese characters such as Ninja, Geisha, Samurai, Sumo, Pikachu, Hello Kitty, etc., you may like to consider famous Japanese companies such as Nintendo, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Honda, etc. for costume inspiration.

Please note that it is not a casual dress day, and students who do not wish to dress up come in regular school uniform.

Items are available in assorted quantities. Lollies and pocky are limited to one pack person. Second round buying may be offered depending on demand.

TRIP HIGHLIGHT: MIYAJIMA ISLAND – Monday 9th September

 

Itsukushima, also known as Miyajima, is a small island in Hiroshima Bay, western Japan. It is known for its forests and ancient temples. Just offshore, the giant, orange Great Torii Gate is partially submerged at high tide. It marks the entrance to the Itsukushima Shrine, which was first built in the 12th century. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Listed site.
