Student Leadership
Student who have already applied for a leadership position for 2021 should have received an email confirming receipt of their application. Nominations are still being accepted where there have been insufficient applications. The process is now open to all students in Year 7 who were taken through the process this week during Personal Learning.
Leadership roles are divided into six teams each with one senior student as the Captain and then FOUR positions at each year level forming the team. Roles previously known as Domain leaders make up the Student Voice & Advocacy team and students with strong interests in curriculum areas and the development of student voice in learning should apply to lead or be a year level representative for this team.
The Environment & Sustainability team is an exciting addition with student feedback indicating an increased level of interest in making a difference here. The other new initiative is having one senior role as the Captain of each of the six teams including MGSC Sports Captain in addition to the four House leaders at each level.

Freerice
The MGSC Freerice challenge ran last term. We would like to congratulate everyone who contributed. We raised 31,570 grains of rice. Such an amazing effort.
We would like to encourage all of you to continue using this program to raise more rice for those in need. Please look out for further events coming your way this term.
