From the Principal

Dear Parents,

We are entering a rather exciting time of the term with a number of events and activities that will showcase student’s work and give students opportunities to be risk-takers.

Over the next two weeks the year 5 students will share their learning through their Celebration of Learning (‘How We Express Ourselves’) and the year 6 students with the exhibition. The exhibition is a celebration of the student’s PYP journey and reflects how far they have come during their time in the program. I am always excited to observe and discuss with the students what they have gained by participating in the exhibition. This year’s exhibition will be held next week.

The year 1 students (and teachers!) are looking forward to this Friday night’s sleepover while the Foundation students look excitedly to next week’s BBQ at school.

Finally, our swimming program gets underway next week with the students in yr 3/4 participating in these lessons. Students in Foundation-2 will participate later in the term.

Despite the restrictions placed on us with COVID (particularly with whole school community events), we have been fortunate to run a near-normal program for the students as possible. Our end of year events will look a little different but hopefully, 2021 will see the return of all school events with full participation from parents and friends.

These next few weeks will fly by and it is fantastic to be able to offer the students these wonderful opportunities.

Blessings

Shane Paterson
