Boys Rugby League

On Monday, 9 November, O’Connor U14’s & U16’s boys travelled to Tamworth to compete in a Super 9’s Rugby League Gala Day. The boys were part of 25 teams from 15 schools participating on the day.Our 14’s played games against Farrer, Oxley, Gunnedah and Armidale Secondary College, winning two and losing two.The 16’s played against Carinya, Quirindi, Tamworth and McCarthy, winning one, drawing one and losing two.All boys enjoyed playing football again and should be commended on their behaviour and sportsmanship.

Hockey NSW Pride High Performance Camp

Some of NSW's best hockey talent will converge on Sydney Olympic Park next week for a sick day high performance camp with eight fully competitive intra-squad matches. The camp will also be used as development opportunity for some of our best up and coming officials and coaches. 

Nathan Czinner in Year 12 has been selected to be one of the 80 athletes who will attend.

Congratulations also go to past student Harry Lye on his selection to attend the high performance camp for umpiring. 

Girls Rugby League

Date: Thursday 26th November

Where: Rugby League Park, Armidale

Who: Girls 12-17 years old wishing to develop Rugby League Skills (focus on tackling technique)

Times: All players need to be at the complex by 9.30am. The Day runs from 10am-1pm

Transport: Please arrange your own transport to and from Rugby League Park Armidale

Uniform: You must wear OCC  shorts, shirt, SCHOOL HAT, white socks & suitable footwear (JOGGERS -  NOT SLIDES/THONGS). Bring your mouth guard, head gear and footy boots. 

Food? Please bring lunch, snacks and water. 

Selection: The Development Day also doubles as a selection trial for the North West U/14 and U/16  Development Squads

Participation: Always display a positive attitude during matches and do not question referees decisions. To gain selection on the day you will need to demonstrate good skills, fitness and good sportsmanship.
